Corporate History

Rudy Scherer founded Scherer Electric Company in 1927. Dedication to customer service allowed the company continual growth through the 1980's when the name was changed to Scherer Industrial Group to reflect the expanded offerings over just electrical services.

In November of 2003, Scherer Industrial Group was acquired by Horner Industrial Services, Inc. We are proud and excited to be a part of the growing family of Horner companies. As a division of Horner Industrial Services, you can expect the same great products and services you have come to expect from Scherer, wrapped in the Horner family's tradition of great customer service.
